As a versatile pianist and composer, Maxwell has performed repertoire
ranging from Bach to Schoenberg as well as been a part of small chamber
ensembles. Mr. Adkisson was born in Kampala, Uganda in 1987. He currently
completes studies at Cornish College of The Arts with a BA. He has studied
with Sue VanNortwick, Bern Herbolsheimer, Eric Banks, Paul Taub, Roger
Nelson, Jim Knapp, and Dawn Clement and is currently under the direction
of Dr. Peter Mack. Maxwell has performed in and had the privilege to be a
part of master classes given by Theresa Bogard and Frank Hennigan. As well
as being a performer Maxwell is a teacher of Piano at the Chopin Academy
under the direction of Ivona Kaminska and Chris Bowlby and is greatly
admired by his students for his great passion and devotion to music and
teaching. He teaches private and group piano classes to pupils of all
ages. Upon completing his studies, Mr. Adkisson plans to enter piano
competitions on the national and international levels under the direction
of Dr. Peter Mack. Maxwell is already well on his way of becoming a
world-class performer, educator, and musician.". |
