Singing is the most natural form of musical expression, something anyone can do in any setting, at any age and with no need for any equipment. The human voice is the most refined musical instrument and learning how to master it with voice lessons can make singing easier and more fun for amateurs and pros alike. Students enrolling in voice lessons will learn basic vocal techniques including posture, breath control, tone quality, and diction.
Ms. Marinescu, instructor of voice lessons at the Chopin Academy of Music in Issaquah, is an internationally recognized opera singer holding a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in vocal performance. Dr. Marinescu’s approach to singing is based on the knowledge and use of the natural bridges in the voice, allowing singers to vocalize with a connected tone from the lowest register of their voice to the highest. Voice lessons with Dr. Marinescu will focus on vocal flexibility and maintaining tone quality as well as extending the voice range.
Students taking voice lessons will learn a wide array of vocal repertoire consisting of songs and arias carefully chosen for the singer’s level and age. Students will also have diction instruction in several languages, including English, Italian, French and German as demanded by their chosen repertoire.
The Chopin Academy of Music offers multiple opportunities for students taking voice lessons to perform on stage with piano accompaniment.
