Dr. Robert Swan
 In addition to performing at important centers, including Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center and London’s Wigmore Hall, concert pianist, Robert Swan, toured throughout the USA as a soloist with major orchestras. Mr. Swan has performed at the White House with Eugene List and several other pianists, as well as in London, Taipei, and Seoul. In all, he has performed 21 different concerti. A Pennsylvania native, Mr. Swan earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music. He holds a Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School, where he studied with the distinguished Polish pianist and Busoni pupil, Mieczyslaw Munz. Mr. Swan’s Doctor of Musical Arts degree is from the University of Arizona. He did extensive work with the distinguished French pianist, Paul Doguereau. Mr. Swan’s has numerous scholarships and awards include those from the Aspen Music Festival, Chautauqua Music School, The Juilliard School, Van Ameringan Foundation, Peabody-Mason Foundation of Boston, Pianist Foundation of America, and Carabo Cone Foundation of San Francisco organizations, and is a International Baldwin artist. In addition to his role as performer and adjudicator, Dr. Swan has taught at well known schools on the East Coast and in the South West, and currently is also on the piano faculty at Seattle Pacific University, and Music Works Northwest, Bellevue, Washington. |
